OMHS established KBP as a contract research and production facility to serve the needs of the OCRP partnership. Open since March 2006, KBP is already gaining reputation as the world’s only full-scale bioprocessing facility specializing in the expression, extraction and purification of plant proteins. Partnerships have been established with universities and private companies focused on research and development. Through these relationships, KBP is currently involved in the development production of new preventative and therapeutic treatments for cancer, HIV and other public health threats.
