President’s Award Recognizes Employees and Physicians Who Exemplify Hospital’s Core Values and Mission
OWENSBORO , KY – Owensboro Medical Health System has recognized 15 employees and three physicians with the President’s Award. The annual program identifies and honors top performers nominated by their peers and selected by a team of past award winners. Recipients must demonstrate outstanding performance and reflect behaviors and attitudes that compliment the hospital’s core commitments (integrity, service, respect, teamwork, innovation and excellence) and its mission to heal the sick and to improve the health of the community.
Winners receive awards during informal surprise receptions at the workplace. Employees choose from prizes that include vacations, home improvement and entertainment packages. Physician winners select a charity for contributions to be made in their names. All winners will attend a recognition banquet this month with their families, friends and coworkers.
The 2008 employee winners include Kay Bishop, Volunteer Services; Imelda Cecil, Endoscopy; Pam Collignon, Home Care; Charles Dalton, Environmental Services; Shelly Hunt, Radiology; Mike Kreke , Information Systems; Joe Mathena, Pharmacy; Tammy Matthews, Finance; Bruce Mauzy , Therapeutic Services; Bill Noe, Respiratory Therapy; Martha Payne, Nursery; Janet Randolph, Critical Care; Brenda Shock, Housekeeping; Beth Snider, Patient Transportation; and Debbie Willoughby, Outpatient Oncology. Bill Smith, Paul Garner and Sohit Khanna are the physician recipients.
