OMHS achieves 'top 5 percent' for clincal quality for second consecutive year

GI care, cardiac surgery, and pulmonary care rated highly in 2010 study

It has never been about the ranking.

Before our 'top 5 percent' rating in 2009--before trophies and five-stars--our focus was on one thing: delivering outstanding patient care, every day. Today, just as it has always been, quality patient care is our passion; from the waiting room to the operating room we strive to be the best we can be.

We are honored, and humbled, to receive the HealthGrades Distinguished Hospital for Clinical Excellence AwardTM for 2010, ranking us among the top five percent of hospitals in the nation for the second consecutive year. To again be mentioned among the nation's best hospitals is very special to us, because it means we're earning the trust, confidence and respect of our patients with the level of care we're providing. It means our commitment to quality is paying off for our patients and their families. National opinions are nice, but it's your opinion that motivates us to get better every day.

We wanted to share our news with you, not to boast, but to let you know we're seeing results. Top 5 percent doesn't mean we're perfect, but it means we're improving, and our focus remains the same: to heal the sick and improve the health of our community.
