OMHS provides the region’s only operative and post operative care for intensive treatments of cancer of the head and neck. All the cancer treatments and procedures performed by the Head and Neck Surgical Unit are supported by research of the Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center.

Complete Pre-operatives Services
Pre-operative labs and tests are scheduled by surgeon’s preference but not more than one week prior to surgery. Your labs and tests are performed by the Anesthesia Group and a Nurse Practitioner is on staff for any questions or concerns you have. For your convenience we also provide a reminder call 48 and 24 hours prior to your visit.

The OMHS Head & Neck Surgical Team feels you shouldn’t be without support of family prior to surgery. All patients are given a private pre-operative room and can have up to two family members with you. Please understand that some pre-operative procedures will require they be temporarily excused.
